[edit] The tutorial challenges:

When you create a new account, you will be given an opportunity to earn money through a series of challenges. Completing these should be no problem, and you will learn some basics of the game while doing it. People sometimes have problems with activating chat. After you activate it you MUST LOG OUT AND BACK IN to receive your reward. For the finisher creation tutorial, you must create a new finisher, already having one will not count.

[edit] Main board features:

[edit] Wrestler Data:

Shows your stats, user picture, palmares, and biography for supporters. See below.

[edit] Bonus:

In the bonus tab, you can vote for TWG on gaming sites. You will be rewarded with 50 fantaeuros and 2 experience points per vote, as well as ~40 tournament points per month. To receive credit for most of the bonus votes, you must open a window by clicking on the banner, then FOLLOW THROUGH on the window you've opened and successfully log your vote. Gym: In the gym tab, you can make various upgrades to your wrestler. See below.

[edit] Messages:

You can send and receive personal messages with anyone in TWG. To send a message, find the recipient in the challengers page and click on 'send a message'. To reply to a message you've received, type your message in the reading PM panel and hit 'reply'. If you receive a message from yourself, it is actually an automatic message sent by the game to tell you about a stat gain, invitational payout, or show salary.

[edit] Entrance:

In here, you can buy and sell entrance.

As a rule, never sell entrance, it does not return all of what you paid for it and you can quickly come up with money from other sources. Advantages of entrance include: -Larger experience point payout per match -boosts to popularity when your entrance is featured in a federation show. This one is very, very important! It doesn't matter whether you get all five types of entrance or just one, each level gives the same: one half yellow star. Supporters can personalize their entrance with descriptive tex

[edit] Invitational:

In this tab, you can find the second biggest money source in the game. Check below for more.

[edit] Tag Team:

Here, you can create a team for 2-on-2 matches and use three challenges a day for these matches.

[edit] Stable:

Here, you can create or join a team for 4-on-4 matches and use one challenge a day for these matches.

[edit] Tournament:

There are two types of tournaments. Regular tournaments cost an entry fee of fantaeuros. You will fight three matches if you make it all the way. Tournament is single elimination. The winner takes a tournament point and 5 times what they paid to enter. Second place awards three times what you paid to enter. Special tournaments, on the other hand, require tournament points to join and pay out in fantaeuros. You receive a hefty fantaeuro bonus just for joining, and more payouts for every match you win. Special tournaments are for one level only. Regular tournaments are created by supporters and can be for one level, or for three with the creator's level being the middle one.

[edit] League:

Joining a league is currently available only to supporters. The main advantage of a league is that you get a daily payout for participating, ranging from 1000 FE per day for top wrestlers, down to 100 a day for low-level leagues. You will fight a lengthy match schedule, and the top five finishers based on win-loss record will be promoted to the higher league (and thus, better payout). The bottom five will be sent down a level.

[edit] Rules and Help:

This is a great resource for new players, as you can read fairly self-explanatory notes on game rules, PM rules, chat rules, simple finisher and trademark sumaries, and the staff who you can contact with questions. Of particular interest is the moves table, which you can use to target future moves to acquire for your moveset. Settings: Here, you can reset your password, see when your supporter status expires, or even change your name (not recommended for the smart wrestler due to the high cost). You can also manage your blacklist (users no longer allowed to challenge you) or ignore list (users no longer allowed to message you), restart your wrestler from scratch, or apply to be a General Manager.

[edit] How it all works

Now, before we can talk about the wrestler data page, we'll go ahead and cover each aspect of the game statistics.

At its heart, TWG is a game of chance. On each attack turn, there are a lot of checks the engine does, checking your statistics against your opponent's with a random dice roll. Here's what happens from start to finish in a match.

1) Initiative check: A dice roll determines who starts the match. Improve 'initiative' to have a better chance at taking control.

2) Attack bonus vs. Dodge: Attack bonus measures your chance to hit a move, while Dodge is your chance to escape and take control of the match. There are two types of attack bonus, character and move. Character attack bonus is what you train in your Strength statistic, and can be seen under Wrestler Data. Move attack bonus is different for each move, and can be viewed under Train Moves.

3) Attack bonus vs. Block: Block and Dodge are completely separate skills that do the same thing. Each attack turn, the move must pass a check against Dodge AND against Block to successfully connect.

4) Damage Calculation: The base damage of any given move is random, and lies within a range specific to the particular move. Damage Increaser adds a percent total to the move damage, while the opponent's Damage Reducer subtracts its own percent total. Hence, if your increaser is the exact same as your opponent's reducer, the move simply hits for its base damage.

5) Berserker vs. Feint: After every successful move, the opponent has a slight chance to interrupt the attack sequence and take over. To lower your opponent's chance of doing so, increase 'Berserker'. To increase your own chance of interrupting the opponent, increase 'Feint'.

6) Allowed/Denied attacks: Every five levels you pour into one of these increases your allowed/denied totals by one. If your opponent has allowed 7 and you have denied 3, you will automatically go back on offense after they have hit four consecutive moves. However, the game is stacked so that you cannot recover and fight back after less than three attacks.

7) Pinning attempts: Most pinning attempts happen either on a rollup (a move with obtained position = pinning) or a Stunned move. To make it easier to pin your opponent, increase Pinning Bonus. To kick out of opponents' pins more often, increase Pin Opposition.

8) Submissions: The first part of a submission move is checked by direct damage of the attacker vs. damage reducer of the recipient. The two turns following deal heavy stamina damage, cause injuries, and force tapouts. To escape submissions more often, increase Escape Submission. To hold them and win by tapout more, increase Submission Bonus. To cause more damage while holding one, increas Submission Damage Increaser.

9) Other factors: Include finishers, taunts, and trademarks. These will be covered in their own sections in the Gym.

[edit] Wrestler Data Page:

Here you can see what federation you are in, your popularity (more on that later), you age (you begin as an 18 year old and add a year for every month you play the game. Eventual plans are to enact a retirement age, but that is a long way off), your total skill index (largely irrelevant), your record (largely irrelevant), wrestler score, money, level, and tournament points. Below that, you can see what you are currently training, and for supporters, choose your next statistic to automatically train when the current one finishes. In boxes below that, you can see many important stats, including your health, stamina, and all the exact bonuses you have in each statistical category. You can also view your entrance, palmares, match types, and advanced techniques, and edit your biography for supporters.
